It’s that time of year when we often find ourselves interacting with those who may put us outside of our comfort zone.

And it can create some beautiful opportunities for growth and learning, as we see relatives and old friends we may not see very frequently. It can be helpful to remember that we do have control over who we share our energy and our time with.

I think sometimes we can forget that we don’t “have” to see every single person who requests our time, or attend every event we’re invited to, and that a lot of the burnout we experience during the holidays comes from overextending.

Sincerity and authenticity has become a benchmark for me in determining where to put my time and energy…along with simply being around those that “feel good” to me. I’m lucky that I’ve got a beautiful circle of sincere and authentic people in my life, and my family is happily among them. And even still I’m taking a little quiet time today to rest and recharge my battery.

Wishing you all lots of beauty, sincerity and peace this holiday and always.
