Make sure you give yourself ample time to get comfortable and set up before your session, and also to integrate after your session. Here are a few tips to help you prepare and set up:

Preparation

Location: Find a place in your home that is quiet and where you won’t be disturbed. If you live with others, make sure they know not to disturb you during your session and also to “keep it down” in the house if they can.

Position: I recommend lying down on your bed. Alternately you can sit in a comfortable reclining chair, or you may sit for the full session length, although most people will find this more difficult. It’s most important for you to be comfortable and not distracted, however that looks for you. Make sure you have enough pillows, blankets, air circulation or whatever you need to rest comfortably for the session duration. Also make sure you’ve used the restroom, eaten and tended to your body’s needs beforehand.

Phone: You’ll want to make sure your phone is properly charged (or plugged in) to last for the session length. Most people find that a phone headset is most comfortable (i.e. headphones/earbuds with a microphone so you can talk back to me). Alternately you can put your phone on speakerphone.

Recording: I don’t record our phone sessions, however you might like to. In that case you could set up your phone to record our conversation or place one of your earbuds by a recording device for the session. Also, remember to turn the recording device on. 🙂

Meditation: Many people find it beneficial to relax quietly and/or meditate for at least 5-10 minutes before your session begins. This is completely optional, but usually deepens the treatment benefits.

Connecting: I will call you at our scheduled time. If for some reason we cannot connect within the first 15 minutes, we will need to reschedule for another time. A rescheduling fee of 40% of the session fee will apply.
