We’ll initiate our time together with the creation of a sacred earth mandala to honor the land and allow our intentions to combine as we kick off our retreat together. We’ll use stones, plants and other found objects from nature to engage our intuitive and creative senses. The process of creating a mandala induces a natural meditation and allows us to spiral our energy in a way that will ground our healing work for the rest of our time together.

2:00PM   |  SMUDGE WAND WORKSHOP

with Sarah Peterson & Desiree Martinez, Brujas Buenas

Smudging is the spiritual equivalent of showering or thoroughly cleaning a space to rid negative energy. While smudging works wonders all on its own, the Brujas Buenas like to add intentions to our wands. In this workshop we will walk you through wrapping a smudge wand customized for your needs and intentions using a variety of herbs, flowers, trees, etc. The Brujas Buenas are native New Mexicans; one from Albuquerque and the other from the Pecos/Santa Fe area. In our efforts to heal ourselves of childhood and generational traumas, we discovered curanderismo in our family history and the healers within ourselves. Knowing the importance of healers and our history, we made our mission to “heal the gente”!

The Land Blessing is a optional event for retreat participants and also is open to the public. Those who are tired post retreat may return to their lodging. Those who would like to attend the Land Blessing, can either go directly to the Land, or go back to their lodging to change and freshen up, and then come to the Land. These decisions can be made during the closing session prior to the retreat day ending.

Visit my new 4 acre property in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. We’ll gather in community to bless the land and set intentions for its healing use.

Jasmine Sushine, great granddaughter of Ultima, from the famous New Mexican novel Bless Me Ultima, will show us the magic of piñon by teaching us how to make a traditional New Mexico trementina salve.

Experience the healing sound of Planetary Gongs and Tibetan Bowls to relieve stress and to restore our body, mind, and spirit to the natural harmony. Sui Ki Li is a teacher, energy healer and recording artist. Originally from Hong Kong, he brings his sensitivity, multi-cultural, and life-long learning experience into his playing. Those who hear him play describe it as centering, blissful and transforming.

with Bernadette Trujillo of Desert Gems Boutique

Learn about how crystals are used in Chinese Medicine as elixirs to help you balance and heal with Bernadette Trujillo, owner of Desert Gems Boutique. In this workshop, we will explore crystals for ourselves, look into their history,  learn fun facts and easy ways to incorporate more of these high vibing gifts from the earth into your everyday life. You’ll also learn how to easily create your own crystal structured beverage. Bernadette is a Personal Development Doula (AKA Life Coach), Crystal Educator and Crystal Reiki Practitioner. When she’s not working with 1:1 clients, she is sharing her passion for crystals in her Crystal Inspired Boutique in downtown Santa Fe, NM or spending time adventuring with her husband and 3 kids.
